STEP 01 / RECALL
Say it before you reveal it.Which travel phrase fits?
Read the situation. Say the phrase aloud, then reveal it to check. Use at least four phrases in your own sentences.
STEP 02 / CLEAR SPEECH
Listen. Say it. Use it.From a sound to a useful phrase
Choose two lines. Listen if audio is available, say the words slowly, then say the whole phrase naturally.
an aisle seat / meet a customer
the departure gate / a late flight
a delayed flight / a night flight
My FLIGHT is delayed /
the new departure time is FOUR.
The slash shows a short pause. Make the important information clear.
Audio uses ElevenLabs’ Rachel voice, generated through Fal.ai. Choose natural or slower playback above. The examples are practice models, not pronunciation scores. Follow your teacher’s feedback on clarity.
STEP 03 / SPEAKING
A first try. One improvement. A second try.Your manager needs an update
Use this fictional situation. Prepare a few keywords, then speak for 45–60 seconds.
A delayed flight
- Flight
- AB218 to Hanoi
- New departure
- 16:00
- Customer meeting
- 15:00
Ask your manager to contact the customer and check a new meeting time.
Your arrival time is not confirmed. All details are invented for practice.
Need a short model?
Hi. My flight to Hanoi is delayed. The new departure time is four o’clock. I have a customer meeting at three, so I can’t be there on time. Could you contact the customer and check a new meeting time, please?
Then close the model and use your own words. You do not need to fill every second.
Record and listen back optional
Audio stays in this tab. Download a take to keep it before leaving.
Or practise aloud without recording.
“I can contact the customer. Please send me the flight number and the new departure time.”
Now respond: confirm the flight number, the time and what you need to send.
Now speak again. Use your improvement and fewer notes.
STEP 04 / NEXT LESSON
Bring these ideas to class. Two possible meeting times
In Lesson 3, you will arrange a meeting and handle a change. Choose two possible times for a short meeting. A fictional schedule is fine.
